Kris (Peugeot Boxer L3H2)
This amazing conversion was built for a family, to include everything they needed for long term travel.
The unique layout of this conversion was designed to fulfill one of his main requirements, which was that three people have to comfortably sleep in it. We created a couple of layout options using a full size double bed and a full size single bed.
The customer chose this layout as it is still spacious, with plenty of storage, and the single bed has its own personal space but does not feel separated from the main area.
To access the single bed there are steps, with added climbing points to make it easy and fun regardless of your age. When not needed the steps can be easily folded and put away.
The kitchen cabinet with oak worktop and extendable counter is equipped with; 2000W induction hob, 52L fridge, sink that has both hot and cold water, undersink cabinet and 6 drawers of various sizes to maximize the storage potential. Also, one of the kitchen walls was painted with paint that makes it magnetic, has a built-in clipboard and allows for chalk drawings giving kids so many options on how to utilize it. Wooden walls and ceiling support a natural and spacious feel in the space also.
In this conversion we designed even more storage in addition to the kitchen cabinet, for all personal belongings they might need during long travel. The additional storage includes; the above cabin shelf, top cabinet, L shape bench with storage space inside, shelf unit, 3 deep drawers each big enough to store all clothes one might need on travels. But that's not all. During one of the customers' visits they mentioned they like wine and requested there be space in one of the drawers for it. Happy to ensure customer satisfaction we designed a custom drawer for both bottles and wine glasses. During the process we used cork as a quality final touch and chose a prime spot of where to place it.
For all the outdoor gear there is adequate storage under the double bed in the garage area.
Kris’ conversion is also equipped with an offgrid electrical system, with a 460Ah lithium battery, 400W solar panel, and a 3000W Victron inverter. This setup provides enough power for extended periods away from campsites, allowing him to comfortably run everyday appliances and charge devices wherever his travels take him.
For year round comfort, the van is fitted with a 4kW Truma Combi boiler, providing both cabin heating and hot water.
Additional features include an external shower point, perfect for rinsing off muddy boots, bikes, pets, or simply enjoying an outdoor shower after a day of exploring. Also included is a composting toilet, offering a practical, environmentally friendly, and low maintenance solution for an extended stay away from campsite.
